Kringla!

Today we made a huge batch of kringla!

The boys love to help! And to snack!
Clay is really good at cracking eggs! No shells!

Ty likes making snowball shapes!

Mixing the big batch!
I wonder how much longer they will want to wear aprons? :)

Yeah! We can eat! Finally!

:) Fun day!

Bailey

Bailey got into trouble on Tuesday.
She was bit by a bug of some sort -
at least that is what the vet told us.
Check out her eyes and mouth!
She can hardly see.

Her mouth was so swollen she was drooling!
All of the swelling happened really fast!
They thought she might go into anaphylactic shock.

Here is Bailey - today! She is just fine after 3 shots of steriods and benadryl.

And she can see just fine!
As we were leaving the vet,
they said if she starts swelling again...
just give her children's benadryl!
Wish I knew that before spending $65 for 5 minutes at the vet! :)
What we do for the animals we love!

Uh Oh! Another tooth!

Clay lost another tooth!
The second front tooth should be out any day...
stay tuned.
More priceless pictures to come!

Clay lost a tooth!

Clay lost another tooth today!

That makes three new teeth on the bottom (fourth one coming) and none on top yet!

He has three other loose teeth - all on top.
I think he will be enjoying a lot of milkshakes, yogurt and oatmeal soon! :)
Maybe we should start teaching him that famous song...

SNOW!

It Snowed!
This week brought temperatures in the 70's on Monday and Tuesday - rain Wednesday and SNOW on Thursday and Friday! I love the snow, but not sure anyone was ready for snow after enjoying such a nice start to our week!

Tommy and Clay went deer hunting on Saturday in Papa's woods. It was really cold - can you even tell that is Clay? Daddy found out that Clay is a chatterbox and cannot whisper. Shock, I know! :)

Finding all the winter gear for school Friday morning was a real treat! We were digging in the coat closet for winter jackets, bibs, gloves and hats! We made it to school on time - not really sure how! :)

The boys cannot wait to make snowmen and snow angels. We might have to wait for a bit more snow for that kind of fun!

Halloween!

We had a great time on Halloween. The boys had a parade at South Elementary and then we visited Grandma who had fun tatoos and treats!

We spent the afternoon playing with the Olson's in the backyard and then went to the Jesus Church for a carnival like party! It was a great time playing games and earning candy. There was a maze in the dark and the boys loved it! Some of the favorite games were mini golf, bean bag toss, fishing, football, basketball and penny toss. The boys had hot dogs and nachos before we headed home.

Once we were back in our neighborhood, the streets were full of kids! We visited a few neighbors and went over to the Olsons. They were just headed out to a few other neighborhoods and we jumped in too! It was great fun. A perfect fall night for trick or treating! We spent over an hour walking around and enjoying the night.

Above right: Ty sorting his candy! They have a ton!

Clay and Ty checking out the loot!

Ty won a mask at the Jesus Church. He said ' I dont think you can recognize me as my nose is not this big!' :)

Clay and Ty have tatoos at the carnival.

Hope everyone had fun on Halloween too!

The end of the first school quarter was 10/31/08. Report cards come out on Friday Nov 7th! Hope the boys did well! :)

Happy Fall!

Happy Halloween!

Clay and Ty are ALIENS this year.

Friendly Aliens! :)

Very Top - The infamous Hallmark singing toy of the season! This one is really cute! Frogs singing! For those that don't know - Grandma Barb sends a new one every season! Tommy loves it! :) Above - getting ready for fun afternoon at MSU.

We made caramel apples with the really good Minnesota apples called HoneyCrisp. They are so yummy! Really do not need caramel with them, but were super good that way! :)

Even Bailey had fun carving pumpkins with Clay and Ty! Such a good puppy!

Grandma Barb sent a great care package to the boys this week! Here are some of the favorites! The candy is already almost gone! I think there are goblins living here that eat up all the candy! At least that is what the boys try to tell me. :)

They put their costumes on this Sunday (26Oct) for a trick or treat event at Mankato State University.

A bunch of the students involved in sports set up games in the arena - mini golf, football, bowling, bean bag toss, hurdles, soccer, face painting etc -the kids could 'earn' candy for playing the games.
We hope you all have a great Halloween! Be safe! And have fun!
