We are hoping this will be a fun and easy way to stay in touch with our family and friends. I will try to update weekly on what is happening in small town Minnesota! So check back often! I love to take pictures of the family, so there will always be new photos to see.
Clay and Ty in Papa's woods - hanging up wood duck houses
As a start, I can get everyone up to speed on our happenings this fall.
Ty is in Kindergarten in Ms. Wettergren's class. He has made lots of new friends and really likes his independence. He just turned 6 and loved celebrating. We had his whole class over for a costume birthday party including bobbing for apples, pin the Eyes on the Ghost, hot dogs wrapped like mummies, frosting cookies and lots of FUN! I am still worn out just reading about it. Thank goodness our neighbor Mande helped me out! :) Ty has been duck hunting with Tommy and is excited to help Daddy with any project. A hard worker! Ty likes spending time outside with the neighbor boys, fixing anything, baseball cards and playing webkinz.
Clay is in 2nd grade in Mrs. Moelter's class. He is learning a lot and really likes math and science. Clay and Ty ride the bus home in the afternoon. Clay has been a big help making sure Ty knows where to go in the new school and that he gets on the right bus! He has been duck hunting with Tommy and can't wait to go tag along deer hunting soon. Clay is already looking forward to his birthday party... uh oh! Clay loves being outside playing football or baseball, baseball cards, webkinz and doing homework. Ok just seeing if you are paying attention. :) We are working on enjoying the nightly homework!
Tommy and Julie in Ely.

Tommy in a tree stand.
Tommy continues to work at the State Hospital as a Security Counselor. He has a great team that he works with and enjoys his job. He stays busy with the St Peter Fire Department and hunting. He also enjoys running and competed in his first triathalon this summer. Amazing!
We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary this summer (we were married 8/8/98 - cant believe it is going this fast!) and Tommy suprized me with a trip to Ely! It was so peaceful. We enjoyed time in the Boundary Waters fishing and canoeing. We will have to go back with the boys! They will love it.
I am a para (teaching assistant) for the St Peter Middle School and a Mental Health Counselor for Counseling Services of Southern Minnesota. I enjoy my kids at school and enjoy the rewards of working with the mental health community. I have successfully had my defibrilator (my little paramedic) in for 11 months. I am healthy and have no side effects. The device has yet to go off (knock on wood!) but I know it will be there for me if I ever need it. So far so good! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers this last year! We really appreciate it.
It has been a big change this year to have both my 'babies' in school full days, but we are enjoying more freedom and hopefully more travel in the future. We will spend a week in Colorado to celebrate Christmas with my family and again in July for the Lunning Family reunion in Estes Park, Colorado. We will also go up North with the Roessler family this summer. :) I am really hoping to see Ocean in 2009...we will see what the new year brings.
That's all for now!
Hope you like it and come back to check out what we are up to!
Tommy, Julie, Clay and Ty
And Bailey, too!
